Hi GitHub team,
I searched for but failed to find a similar request. Apologies if this is a duplicate.
Once in a while I have to review larger PRs with several dozen files changed. Oftentimes, some file diffs contain exclusively deletions or additions (not counting "file has been deleted" here), while for other files the diff has both added and deleted lines. That means for some files the split view works better while for others the unified view does. And it usually seems relatively clear which one it is.
It is great that now I no longer need to reload the page when toggling the diff view mode (thanks for that feature!).
But at the moment I still have to manually toggle the diff view mode for every file and cannot just read from top to bottom without jumping to that settings button. Maybe adding another option in the diff view setting (
smart/auto/whatever) could be an improvement. Thanks and keep up the good work.
